Starbucks Coffee

I was thinking about this while at the airport yesterday on my too-early flight. I've never had starbucks coffee, just their espresso flavored sugary drinks.

Their coffee, after years of me arguing that it is simply over burnt, cheap, and not good, but I've never had it, just from reading what others had to say. Clearly, I was wrong. Their coffee tastes incredibly burnt, still watery, too acidic/bitter, neither dark nor light. I had to dump half of it out, fill it with sugar and milk. And even that, I still dumped half of it.

To everyone who likes it, good for you. I'd like to remind you that coffee is a flavor experience, not a "can you take it" type of experience. That's ridiculous. Yes, if you can drink it straight you can probably drink whiskey straight. But that's not why you buy... coffee. Have some good coffee, unless that is your thing, and enjoy. But damn, was I ever wrong. It's got to be the worst coffee ever made.

Minnesota Haunted House Review: Screamtown

I went to this one, it's a bit of a drive from the Twin Cities(or Minneapolis, where I'm at, specifically). Worth the money, not worth the drive. Hit it up with something else to make it worthwhile. This one is definitely more for the kiddies, who will enjoy a nice low-scare thrill. Some of the props were well done, others were silly or simple.Very few scenes from movies, which is nice, I enjoy originality. There is a walk thru the haunted woods which had great potential, and was well decorated and lit. The actors in it weren't in the spirit of it yet. I went on opening day, and if you've got little ones, I expect it to get better for them. The best part was the corn maze. Excellently done and it seems the better actors were there. Again, I'd say it's worth the money even for the cheap thrills, and if you've got kids, they're gonna love this one. Adults looking for a scare, this one is passable.  This weekend I'm hitting  Trail of Terror(ren faire grounds) and Severs Corn Maze(not a haunted house, but should be fun).Best,--Joey

Theme Work

Finally, after 3 years, some theme work! Woo!

17,912 visitors Last October

That comes out to just over 577 a day! Look for exciting improvements this year, and hopefully a lot more people!

80days

Ok. I've restored this site to it's former glory! Still on Drupal 5 however, the upgrade to 6 was a nightmare, and the google maps and such just don't work.I'm working on a new codebase, going to see if it's easy and quick to make a new site, and using Dojo instead of Druapl, or if I should just continue with this site.  --Joseph

Getting to be that time

It's getting to be that time again. Almost time for ZOMBIE PUB CRAWL. Nah, well, that too, but I really mean the 2008 Halloween Season.

2008 Update

It's getting to be that time again. Time to refresh the map, maybe change the layout, update the backend, and get ready for a new haunt season!

Pirate Pub Crawl vs. Zombie Pub Crawl

There's a second level to the Zombie Pub Crawl . There is a Pirate Pub Crawl as well going on that night, with the potential for a dance off! It's Pirates vs Zombies! I'm still going as a Zombie but will def take pictures.

Zombie Pub Crawl - Minneapolis, MN - Oct 6th

My friends and I are planning on attending this year's Zombie Pub Crawl here in Minneapolis. It seems like a great Halloween event and looks to be a lot of fun. They are expecting 500 zombies this year and it's going to be my first. Unfortunately nothing like this ever happened in Dallas but maybe it will catch on one day. I'm going to bring my camera at least, and maybe my video camera if I can find it(still unpacking).

Here's a video I found on YouTube from last years ZPC.

Ready for Halloween??
